31th March 1917 - Bartók wrote to his wife: "Imagine! A keyboard
xylophone will be constructed so that these complicated modern xylophone

Bartók's first piano lesson
Bartók started to begin piano lessons when he was 5 years old, at his
birthday (25th March, 1886). "My first teacher was my mother." - as he
remembered later.
